Year Two had a ‘magical’ time at Harry Potter Studios. We flew on broomsticks, practised our wand skills and tried to board the Hogwarts express. What a truly wonderful day it was!
To the world you are a mother, but to me you are the world.
Last Monday Mrs Geran’s class performed an amazing assembly with great confidence. We shared our work on traditional tales and also introduced the Year one Guinea Pigs to the rest of the school.
Today we have discussed being safe on the Internet. The children all spoke about the positive experiences they had when online; “I like playing games”, “I really enjoy finding out facts, especially about history”. We then discussed the dangers of being online and what could happen if we didn’t use it safely. Many of the children were surprised that people sometimes pretend to be someone they’re not and are more aware of stranger danger on the Internet. To show how easily this is done we all made an emoji face and pretended to be someone else whilst doing everyday activities. As a result of this activity the children all decided that they should never talk to strangers or give out personal information. They also know exactly what to do if they come across something that upsets or worries them.
All children are invited to come to school tomorrow in their Pyjamas, as part of Children In Need. Year 2 children, will also need to ensure they have a warm coat and wellies, as we are making kites in the morning and then flying them outside in the afternoon.
A reminder to parents that all children are invited to come to school tomorrow in their Pyjamas, as part of Children In Need.
Year 1 children will also need to ensure they have a warm coat and wellies, as we are making and then flying our own kites during the day.
